As Director of Teaching, Learning & Assessment in Paediatrics I am responsible for development and presentation of Oxford’s undergraduate paediatric course. I am actively involved in one-to-one and group teaching and in educational research. My tutorial subjects include gastrointestinal physiology and paediatrics. My regular lectures cover topics in paediatric epidemiology, international paediatrics, paediatric gastroenterology, nutrition, and recognition of the sick child. I provide ward- and out-patient based clinical teaching.
As Director of Medical Education (Associate Medical Director) for Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust I am responsible for the quality assurance of the clinical training of over 800 junior doctors. I am also Associate Dean (Postgraduate medicine) in the Medical Science Division at the University of Oxford.
