Magdalen’s tutors are renowned in their fields and encourage academic progression through lively small-group tutorials, the teaching system at the heart of undergraduate learning at Oxford.
This system enables students to discuss their subject in a supportive environment with an expert and their peers; sharing, exploring and developing their ideas. Students also attend lectures, practicals and classes organised by the University. This combination of small-group College-based tutorials and larger-group centralized teaching provides exceptional opportunities for students to develop academically in an intellectually stimulating environment.
All undergraduates at Magdalen are members of the Junior Common Room, or JCR. You can find out more about the JCR through the JCR website and more about undergraduate life at Magdalen from the Alternative Prospectus.
