Dr Maheshi Ramasamy obtained her medical degree at Christ’s College, University of Cambridge. She trained in Infectious Diseases and General Internal Medicine in London and Oxford. During her specialist registrar training, she obtained a DPhil at Wadham College, investigating B cell responses to conjugate and polysaccharide meningococcal vaccines.
She is currently a Consultant Physician at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where she has a particular interest in antimicrobial stewardship and is the Clinical Lead for Ambulatory Outreach teams.
In her role as Florey Lecturer, she acts as the Lead Tutor for Graduate medical students at Magdalen College. Her research interest is in adaptive immune responses to vaccines. As a Principal Investigator at the Oxford Vaccine Group, she leads on adult clinical vaccine trials and she is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Oxford.
