Welcome to the archives of Magdalen College, which contain over eight centuries of history about the College, its estates, and its members. The following pages will tell you more about what we hold here, and how to contact us or arrange a visit.
The Archives of Magdalen College will be unstaffed between 6th September and 8th November 2021. As a consequence, the enquiry service is reduced and we may be unable to reply to an enquiry until November. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and ask for your patience. Much of the archives are described on our online catalogue, described more fully here. You will also find a wealth of information about the archives on these pages.
Enquiries relating to T.E. Lawrence (1888-1935), D.G. Hogarth (1862-1927) and Lawrence’s biographer Jeremy Wilson (1944-2017) can be dealt with in this period by the Project Archivist, Dr Lucy Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org
