Role in the College

Anne works as a part of a job share as College Librarian with Dr Lucy Gwynn. They are responsible for the management of the libraries which are at the heart of the college’s academic life. They also oversee the curation of Magdalen’s exceptionally rich historic collections (its archives, manuscripts, and rare books), and facilitate and advocate for their use in research and public engagement.


Anne has a BA in Classics from Durham University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Library and Information Studies from Ealing College London. She worked for several years at UCL Library Services in a variety of roles, and prior to coming to Magdalen in July 2013 she worked at Reading University Library.
