Brett Kolesnik earned a PhD in Mathematics from the University of British Columbia, advised by Prof Omer Angel in the UBC Probability Group. He then held an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship and Visiting Assistant Professorships at UC Berkeley and San Diego before arriving at Oxford Statistics and Magdalen College. His research is focused on random graphs, geometry and algorithms and their connections with other areas of mathematics.
