Role in the College
Abby works as Technical Services and Collections Librarian. She is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Longwall Library, all acquisitions and their cataloguing and classification, the processing Library and Archives spending, and the planning and management of project goals for the Longwall Library.
Background
Abby holds a BA in History from King’s College London and an MA in History from Royal Holloway, University of London. She worked in fundraising before turning to libraries, starting as a student library assistant before joining the Bodleian Libraries Graduate Trainee scheme, and then heading back to London to work in the library of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Once she had completed her MA in Library and Information Studies at UCL, she was keen to return to Oxford and has worked at Magdalen since November 2024.
