Tour of Magdalen’s Gardens with Sherardian Professor of Botany Lars Østergaard and Head Gardener David Craft

Join Professor Lars Østergaard and Head Gardener David Craft on a tour of Addison’s Walk and the Fellows’ Garden on Saturday 14 March 2026.

Learn more about history and maintenance of the gardens, as well as ongoing projects to enhance biodiversity and appreciation of the grounds by College members and visitors. At this time of year Addison’s Walk and the Fellows’ Garden are expected to be full of fritillaries, anemones, species daffodils, scillas, and crocuses.

The event will be split into two tours, each lead respectively by Professor Lars Østergaard and David Craft, followed by refreshments. Members are permitted to bring one guest.

First Tour Led by Head Gardener David Craft

10am-12pm: Tour of the Gardens

12-12:30pm: Refreshments

1-3pm: Tour of the Gardens

3-3:30pm: Refreshments
