You are invited to a talk with Professor Benjamin Pohl, current Visiting Fellow at Magdalen, and Professor of Medieval History at the University of Bristol. The talk will take place from 5pm-6pm in the Magdalen College Auditorium on Wednesday 17 June.

Ahead of the Bayeux Tapestry’s highly anticipated exhibition at the British Museum opening this autumn, he will present a new interpretation of how and where this world-famous artefact was intended to be viewed based on his recent research published in Historical Research, which received global media coverage.

Timings: 5-6pm

Location: Magdalen College Auditorium (accessible via the Longwall Street entrance)

There is no charge for this event. Attendees are welcome to bring guests.

Benjamin Pohlis an expert in the history of medieval Britain and Europe, and has written half a dozen books on the subject, both in English and German.
