T.E. Lawrence:
A Fascination with Portraits
Jeremy Wilson

Jeremy Wilson will talk about Lawrence’s interest in portraits,
particularly those that he commissioned for Seven Pillars of Wisdom,
and his friendship with the artist Eric Kennington.

Jeremy Wilson is a research fellow of Bristol University.
He has worked with the Bodleian’s T.E. Lawrence papers since 1967,
published Lawrence of Arabia: The Authorised Biography in 1989,
and has edited numerous scholarly editions of Lawrence’s works and correspondence
published by his and his wife’s private fine-press imprint, the Castle Hill Press.
He also built and edits the T.E. Lawrence Studies website: http://www.telstudies.org
