The College was very sad to learn that the poet and teacher Seamus Heaney has died aged 74. He was an Honorary Fellow of the College and was first elected a Fellow when he was the Oxford University Professor of Poetry from 1989-94. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1995.
