New Mark Wallinger sculpture unveiled

22 July 2008

Magdalen College has commissioned a sculpture to celebrate our 550th Anniversary. It is by the Turner-prize winning artist Mark Wallinger and is called Y. It is made of steel, is 10 metres high and has the form of a tree. It is situated among the willow trees in the part of the College grounds known as Bat Willow Meadow which is on the way from Addison’s Walk to the Fellows’ Garden. Further information can be found on the Mark Wallinger microsite.
