As you may notice, the New Library redevelopment is now fully underway. The extensions in Longwall Quad are being built, and the New Library interior has being stripped back to its original form before the new free-standing structure is inserted. A sample oak desk-with-bookshelves is now available for inspection in the St Swithun’s Library. Custom-made light fittings and chair have yet to come, but the desk will give you a good idea of the quality of the furniture planned for the New Library. We’d appreciate any feedback that you have about it.
