Medieval British Latin Dictionary Published After a Century of Drafting

03 January 2014

The 17th, and final, part of the Dictionary of Medieval Latin from British Sources has been published by the British Academy. Drawing on sources from the sixth to the 16th century, including the Domesday Book, the Magna Carta and the Bayeux tapestry, it took a century of research and drafting to complete.  Dr Giuseppe Pezzini, a Junior Research Fellow at Magdalen, was a member of the team which finally completed the Dictionary.
