Magdalen Fellow, Lakshmi Mittal Professor of Vaccinology, Director of the Jenner Institute, and alumnus Professor Sir Adrian Hill (1979) has been awarded The European Patent Office European Inventor Award 2026 for his malaria vaccine.

The European Inventor Award recognises inventors whose innovations provide answers to some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
