This programme will not be running in 2026.
The Law at Magdalen Programme is a residential event for prospective Law applicants in Year 12 (or equivalent) currently attending UK state schools. It is entirely free for participants, including accommodation, food and travel. The programme will not take place in 2026 due to the piloting of the English & Classics Residential.
40 participants receive the opportunity to visit Magdalen for this three-day residential programme, including the following activities:

Eligibility: It is essential that you meet all of the following criteria:
- Year 12 (or equivalent) student
- Under 18 years old at the time of the programme (due to safeguarding policies)
- Attending a UK state school or home schooled (individuals who do not fit this criterion but who have extenuating circumstances may still apply)
- An interest in studying Law at university
- Predicted to get at least AAA at A-Level (or equivalent) unless there is a reason why you are predicted lower
Our events are aimed to help support students who come from backgrounds that are historically under-represented at Oxford. As such we will also be using the following criteria to assess applications:
- Your post-code (if you are from an area of low progression to university or from an area of high deprivation)
- If you are in receipt of Free School Meals
- If you will be the first your family to attend university
- You are care-experienced or are a young carer.
This programme will not run in 2026 and applications are therefore CLOSED.
