Two Magdalen Fellows have been elected Fellows of the Royal Society. They are Alison Etheridge, Professor of Probability, and Gero Miesenböck, Waynflete Professor of Physiology.
Professor Etheridge was elected for her significant contributions to the theory and applications of probability. Professor Miesenböck pioneered the new science of optogenetics.
