Here’s the story of how our President Dinah Rose KC met her husband Peter Kessler MBE.

How did you meet, and what were your first impressions of each other? We met on Hannah’s very first day of Freshers Week. It was all a bit of a whirlwind from there. It’s probably fair to say that those around us were able to witness the immediate spark between us!
What’s your best memory at Magdalen together? We got engaged on Addison’s Walk on a visit back to Magdalen some years after graduating. Our wedding ceremony in Magdalen Chapel followed by a reception on New Buildings Lawns was also a particular highlight. The college has played an incredibly important role in some of the most pivotal moments of our lives.
How has Magdalen continued to play a part in your lives? We live in New York now but come back to college when we can. Hannah runs a specialized wedding and event planning company, GvW Events, so it’s always good to come back for inspiration – particularly since many NYC brides are keen to see their celebration incorporate the beauty, heritage, and splendour of a setting like Magdalen.
