Two Magdalen alumni have been appointed new Court of Appeal judges.
Mr Justice Christopher Butcher (1980) and Mrs Justice Judith Farbey (1985) are amongst seven new appointees to the Court of Appeal . They will join fellow Magdalen alumni in the Court: Lord Justice Richard Arnold (1979) and Lord Justice David Foxton (1983).
The appointment of Lord or Lady Justices of the Court of Appeal are made by His Majesty The King, on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, following the recommendation of an independent selection panel.
