We are very sorry to announce the death of Emeritus Fellow Dr Stephen Ashcroft who died at the age of 83. Stephen died peacefully surrounded by his family at home in Sweden.
Stephen was appointed as Lecturer in Biochemistry at the University of Bristol from 1971 until 1975. He then came to Oxford and was elected a Fellow by Special Election at Magdalen College, and subsequently Tutor in Biochemistry and Tutor for Graduates.
Stephen went on to serve as Oxford University Lecturer and Reader in Clinical Biochemistry. Stephen was elected to an Emeritus Fellowship of Magdalen College in 2002.
A Memorial Event will be held in Magdalen College later next year.
