The College is sad to share the news that former Head Gardener Claire Shepherd passed away last week.
Claire worked at Magdalen from October 1987 to April 2021 and played an important role in shaping the beautiful grounds we enjoy today. Many members of the College will remember the care and attention she devoted to the gardens, particularly the herbaceous border by New Building.
Our thoughts are with Claire’s family and friends at this sad time.
