Magdalen College is pleased to partner with upReach, an award-winning social mobility charity, to provide additional support to undergraduate students from low-income backgrounds.
upReach’s Rise Programme provides students, known as Associates, with one-to-one career mentoring, access to exclusive work experience opportunities, insight days, internships, and in-college skills workshops. These opportunities are designed to help Associates build confidence and prepare for applications to competitive graduate roles. The CEO of upReach is alumnus Nick Bent (1990).
Magdalen is sponsoring 20 places on the Rise Programme, and feedback from the Associates so far has been very positive.
upReach has been really helpful in making me more comfortable when applying to jobs or internships. My Programme Coordinator really helped me… to make a more informed decision about the companies I wanted to apply to. I look forward to engaging [with upReach] more in the future
