Fine Art

Magdalen is situated conveniently close to the Ruskin School of Art and we welcome one or two fine art students each year.

The College grounds are some of the most extensive and inspirational in Oxford, with a large deer park, beautiful walks and good architecture from the fifteenth-century cloisters built by William Orchard to Edward Holdsworth’s eighteenth-century New Building. Of particular note is the fact that Magdalen has its own dedicated studio for the exclusive use of its fine art students.

Prospective candidates are warmly invited to attend one of the College’s Open Days, which correspond with Open Days at the Ruskin School of Art.
