Martin McLaughlin, Agnelli-Serena Professor of Italian at Oxford and a Professorial Fellow of Magdalen College, has been elected President of the Modern Humanities Research Association. This Association encourages and promotes advanced study and research in the field of the modern humanities, which includes the modern and medieval European languages, literatures and cultures.
