Weddings in Magdalen College Chapel
The College Chapel is available for weddings to Magdalen alumni, as well as current members and staff of the College and their direct family members. The Chapel is only available for weddings outside the University terms, and bookings are always agreed at the discretion of the Dean of Divinity and with the approval of the President.
How to book a wedding
The first person to approach in making an enquiry about a wedding in the Chapel is the Dean of Divinity, Rev’d Dr Jonathan Arnold (email@example.com). He will talk through your plans with you and with other relevant College offices before confirming a date in the Chapel diary. As soon as a date has been agreed, you will need to
- Write to the President of Magdalen asking for approval
- Request a special licence from the Church of England
- Fill in the Wedding in Magdalen Chapel Confirmation and Arrangements Form and submit to the Personal Assistant to the Dean of Divinity

For all weddings taking place in 2018, the charges will be as follows:
Hire of the Chapel : £1000 plus VAT
Verger fees: £100 plus VAT
Use of the Chapel organ: £300 plus VAT (including a College organist)
