Dr Félix Foutel-Rodier

Subject: Maths

College appointment: Senior Demy

Academic position: Glasstone Research Fellow

Background

I have a mixed academic background in life science and mathematics. My research lies at the interface between these two fields. I study probabilistic models of populations, motivated mainly by questions arising from population genetics and epidemiology. These models provide both biological insights and rich mathematical structures, and I am especially interested in understanding their genealogical properties.

Before coming to Oxford as a Glasstone Research Fellow, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the UQÀM, Montréal, and obtained a PhD in mathematics from Sorbonne Université, Paris.
