Magdalen College were runners-up in the television quiz competition University Challenge for 2015. The team of Harry Gillow (Classics), Chris Savory (Chemistry), Hugh Binnie (Chemistry) and Cameron Quinn (Philosophy and French) lost in the final to an excellent team from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge by 255 points to 105 .
Professor David Clary, President of Magdalen, said “This was a very competitive year for University Challenge and the Magdalen team did outstandingly well to reach the final.”
