Honorary Fellow, Justice Stephen Breyer, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, has been awarded the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Civil Law, honoris causa, by the University of Oxford. This honorary degree will be conferred at the Encaenia on 23 June 2010. Justice Breyer was a Marshall Scholar at Magdalen from 1959–61 and became an Honorary Fellow in 1994.
