Dr Robert Gilbert has been awarded the British Biophysical Society Young Investigators Award

Dr Robert Gilbert, Tutorial Fellow in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, has been awarded the British Biophysical Society Young Investigators Award. This award was introduced in 2002 to celebrate an outstanding contribution in any area of biophysics made by a young researcher in the UK and Ireland. The award is made every two years and the winner receives a cheque and a medal to commemorate the event. The winner is also asked to present a lecture and Dr Gilbert presented his award lecture at the University of Durham, Nanotechnologies meeting in March 2009.
