Film collection

Magdalen College Library has a growing collection of over 2000 films, predominantly on DVD. The film collection is kept in locked cabinets next to the enquiry desk, and items may only be borrowed during office hours (8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday during term, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm during vacation). Items may be borrowed by college members until 5pm on the following day, or 5pm on Monday if borrowed on a Friday. Sets containing series or 3 or more films may be borrowed for a week. There is a charge of £1.50 for each overdue item. Items may be renewed if no-one else has reserved them. They are only available for private study, and not for public showing.

Members of other colleges or departments may borrow from the film collection on the production of a deposit of £15 per item. The same restrictions apply.
