Four surveys of the New Buildings from 1947, and two plans of proposed alterations to the New Buildings.
A folder titled “Quincentenary Committee (& University Appeal)” from 1950. It contains letters and pamphlets relating to an appeal to raise money for the repair of historic buildings in Oxford. It also contains a pamphlet discussing the Quincentenary of Magdalen in 1958, and a menu and correspondence relating to a dinner for Fellow’s wives in the same year. Closed until 2038.

It also contains a great deal of correspondence relating to College building maintenance and the Magdalen College Development Program.

An untitled folder containing several copies of a letter to the President, dated 30 June 1971, requesting an extraordinary general meeting to discuss the College Buildings. They are all unsigned. There are copies of two letters concerning the buildings appeal, dated 16 and 24 June 1971, sent from Sinclair to colleagues, about the Buildings and Appeal.
An untitled envelope, containing several copies of a document, labelled private, called ‘Magdalen Buildings and Appeal’. It is a memorandum from Hugh Sinclair to help discussion at a private meeting to the held on 30 June 1971. It discusses the state of Magdalen buildings such as the SCR, the President’s accommodation, the Library wing, the Botanic Garden Buildings, Rose Lane and the Hall and Kitchens
