MC:F19/MS1 Papers concerning President Martin Routh
Printed and manuscript papers relating to Martin Routh (1791-1854; D. 1771-5; F. 1774-91; P. 1791-1854) most likely compiled and bound by Rigaud. Collection contains some letters addressed to Rigaud. Enclosed within the book are newspaper obituaries of Routh and Rigaud. J. Rigaud Magdalen College is inscribed on the flyleaf.
Pgs 1-21: handwritten notes about Routh’s life & letters and the manuscript material about Routh now in Magdalen College by Rigaud.
Pg. 13: an autographed copy of Routh’s inscription on a bust of the Duke of Wellington is pasted in.
