MC:P104 Letter from Sir John Stainer
Sir John Stainer (1840–1901), the eminent Victorian musician and composer, best known for his oratorio The Crucifixion, was organist at Magdalen in 1860–1872.
This letter was purchased by the President of Magdalen from a dealer in New York, and given to the archives in April 1999 as Acc. 99/86.
