MC:F20 The Papers of Henry Harris (Fellow 1849-88)
How and when the manuscript arrived in the archives is unknown. Henry Harris (1819-1900) entered at Rugby School in 1827. He matriculated from Oriel College in 1837 and received a Demyship at Magdalen College that same year. He took his BA in 1841, his MA in 1843, and his BD in 1853. Harris was ordained a deacon in 1842, a priest in 1853. He was a Fellow of Magdalen College from 1849-88, serving the college as Senior Dean of Arts in 1852 and 1853, Vice-President in 1854, Bursar in 1855, and Dean of Divinity in 1857. He was Curate of Horspath in 1853-58 and Rector of Winterbourne Bassett, in 1858. Harris died in 1900.
