This item is of unknown provenance. The responsibility for maintaining it seems to have been accepted by Gunther at some point after its creation.
“In Memoriam” vol. II. Unindexed miscellaneous obituary notices and news cuttings. The provenance of this item is uncertain, but is likely to have been compiled by Gunther in continuation of his work on the first volume. There are some additions after his own death, suggesting that others must have worked on the volume. It is updated much less frequently from 1914.
A bound MS catalogue titled “The Pictures in possession of the President and Fellows of Magd. College 1901”. It is indexed and has some printed inserts. It was compiled by R.T Gunther.
The catalogue contains information such as the provenance of the picture, any inscriptions, its size, date and format. Biographical information on the subject is sometimes provided.
There is a letter to Gunther from Herbert Warren pasted in to the back of the book, dated Jan 30 1901, in which Warren asks Gunther to use the attached pattern form for the catalogue
