MC:PR33/2/6C/1 3 Apr 1934
Single page, handwritten letter from Christopher Cookson (Fellow 1894–1919), address 33, Leckford Road, Oxford, to President Gordon. He writes to offer his sympathy over a recent illness and his best wishes for a full recovery. Enclosed with Cookson’s note is a single page, handwritten letter from J. Wylde (address 3, Oakhill Road, Beckenham, Kent), dated April 2nd, 1934, which Cookson says might be of interest to Gordon. Wylde wrote some letters to the Times regarding customs at Magdalen, and Cookson wrote to Wylde to answer those questions. The letter from Wylde thanks Cookson for his assistance. Wylde also informs Cookson that he is the oldest member of College, whilst his great-nephew is the youngest, as well as being the youngest chorister.
