Dr. Thomas Alexander Wise (1802–1889), Dodds-Parker’s great-grandfather, served as a doctor in India, before returning to Scotland, where he assembled a collection of antiquities and paintings, which he gave to University College, Dundee.

Envelope inscribed “Wise, Andrew”, containing a brief memoir by Dodds-Parker of Alec Wise, but also letters and papers concerning Dr. Thomas Alexander Wise, and the collection which he gave to University College, Dundee. These mainly relate to an exhibition of Wise’s Collection assembled at Dundee by Laura Adam in 1994, but also include a copy of Wise’s will [34 items].
