Letter from Stella Rambaut (address, Toll College, Hingey Farm, Gunwalloe, near Helston, Cornwall), to Douglas, explaining that she knows his son, and he knows her father-in-law, and that her family is need, and asking Douglas for some money.
Letter from ‘Stella’ (address not given) to Douglas, inviting him to visit at Rock Ferry, and apologising that she cannot come to London.
MC:P204/1/11C/3 n.d. [possibly c.1900–10?]
Letter (2 sheets), written in French, from Anne Woodhouse (address, La Collintette, St. Michel-Bougival), to Douglas, saying that her husband is in Africa, and she is in financial need. [Anne’s husband was almost certainly George Woodhouse, who trained Douglas’s horses at his stable at Chantilly in 1900/1 (see Hyde, 126)].

Postcard of the basilica of Lourdes, on the back of which someone has written ‘Souvenir from Lourdes’, and dated it 21 April.
Letter from unknown writer (whose signature resembles ‘Y.S.’) to an unknown recipient, thanking him/her for something unspecified; commenting on hearing a voice with unpleasant associations, and alluding to Messrs Grieve [?] and Kennard.
Final sheet of a letter from an illegible writer (address lost) to an unknown addressee, praising a work by the addressee [presumably Douglas] of a theological nature.
