Two-page letter (MC:PR35/2/4C/1) to Boase from Reverend F. Money of Wootton St. Lawrence Church, Nr. Basingstoke, Hampshire, regarding Charles Butler (philologist, musician and beekeeper). Money writes that Butler was vicar of the church between 1600-1647, and the Dean of Winchester is to dedicate a memorial to him as the church’s most outstanding vicar and asks if Boase could be present the dedication ceremony. Included with the letter is a printed photograph of the memorial window dedicated to Butler at Wootton St Lawrence church (MC:PR35/2/4C/2), a printed leaflet about the patron saint of the church, St. Lawrence (MC:PR35/2/4C/3), and a printed leaflet about Charles Butler (MC:PR35/2/4C/4).
