MC:F33/3/MS3 Papers of Margaret Deneke
Many of these papers are extracts and drafts of Margaret Deneke’s biography of Benecke, published in 1954. Of interest is the fact that although Margaret Benecke was unhappy with some of the content of the book, Deneke was adamant that nothing should change, commenting in a letter to President Tizard (see MC:PR35/2/8C) that she was trying to bring the volume to press as soon as possible to prevent Margaret Benecke from being able to censor any of it.
