May Morning
One of the most distinctive landmarks in Oxford is the Great Tower of Magdalen College. Situated beside the river, the elegant proportions of this lovely building have, for over 500 years, been the focus of the annual celebrations on 1 May. The Choir climbs the 172 steps to the top of the Tower, where at 6am they sing to greet the rising sun.
