Floreat Magdalena

The latest edition of Floreat Magdalena has been posted to alumni and is now available online. In this issue we look back at a history of innovation in science and technology at Magdalen, explore the impact of ten first editions in our collection, and find out how the women’s rowing captain balances the demands of her sport and her studies. There’s also a chance to win a copy of How English Became English in our crossword competition.

A history of giving

Since 1458 almost every building, garden, facility, scholarship and fellowship has owed part or all of its funding to bequests from members of the Magdalen Community. Did you know…
All our events are priced to break even or are subsidised. We want all alumni to be able to attend events where possible, so if you would like to attend a particular event and are not in a position to do so, let us know as we may be able to further subsidise a limited number of places on a case-by-case basis.

If you have access to a venue we could use for an alumni event or any recommendations, please contact alumni.office@magd.ox.ac.uk
