Development & Alumni Relations Committee

The Development and Alumni Relations Committee:

i. oversees the operation of the Development Office and Magdalen Society;
ii. oversees relations with Alumni;
iii. keeps under review and makes recommendations regarding fundraising objectives;
iv. considers and keeps under review fundraising strategies
v. communicates with the Magdalen College Development Trust, normally through its Chairman, as necessary in relation to (iii) and (iv) above;
vi. records and considers the allocation of funds received. Where significant sums are involved, unless they have been given for approved fundraising objectives, recommendations will be made to the Bursarial Committee of the College in the first instance;
vii. prepares and submits estimates pursuant to Bylaw 95 of the College’s Bylaws, which shall include the activities of the Development Office and Magdalen Society;
viii. reports at least once a year to the President and Fellows on the operation of the Development Office, fundraising objectives and sums pledged and received.
