The Development Office Team September 2011

The Development Office is always happy to hear from Old Members. We are open every weekday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (but please note staffing levels may be reduced between 12.30 p.m. and 2 p.m.). We currently have 5 permanent full-time staff:

Mr Sean Rainey, Development Director
	Sean joined Magdalen as Development Director in November 2009 and has over 10 years fundraising experience at Oxford. A graduate of the Queen’s University Belfast and Universiteit Leiden, Sean started his career as a Stagiaire with the European Commission. Following 2 years in Brussels he moved to Eastern Europe where he worked in marketing and business development for 4 years before starting his fundraising career at St Peter’s College, Oxford in 2002. Please contact Sean if you would like to support Magdalen in any way, or if you have any queries about the College's development or alumni relations programmes.
Dr Marilyn Bowler, Associate Development Director
	Marilyn has been working in the Development Office since 2007. She has a Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology from Bristol University and was a post-doctoral researcher at Cambridge University. Since moving to Oxford she has developed her career in University administration, working in Keble College Development Office and as Manager of Alumni Relations at the Said Business School. Please contact Marilyn if you would like information on or to volunteer to help with any of Magdalen's major capital campaigns or if you have any questions on our alumni publications.
Mr Hadrian Wise, Senior Development Executive
	Hadrian has been working in the Development Office since 2007. He has a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, & Economics from Merton College, Oxford, and has previously worked as a political researcher, a freelance writer, and a management consultant. Please contact Hadrian with any changes in contact or other details or if you have any questions about donating to our Annual Fund.
Ms Anna Norman (nee Krzyzanowska), Alumni Relations Officer
	Anna joined the Development Office in April 2010. She has a B.A. in Law from Pembroke College, Oxford and an M.A. in Publishing from Oxford Brookes University, and has previously worked as a solicitor at Allen & Overy LLP, as an English teacher in Paris, and as an assistant commissioning editor at Oxford University Press. She deals with events organisation and alumni communications such as the 'Floreat Magdalena' newsletter. She is on maternity leave from 2011-2012; all enquiries should be directed to Mark Tindall.
Mr Mark Tindall, Alumni Relations Officer (Maternity Cover for Anna Norman 2011-2012)
	Mark is covering Alumni Relations for one year.
Ms Helen Burt, Alumni Relations and Development Officer
	Helen completed her M.A. in Japanese at Pembroke College, Oxford, in 2008. In addition to her language skills and study of Computer Science, she has done freelance work in web design and implementation, and is a writer of speculative fiction. She deals with database updates and general queries.
