Fees and Costs

To enable you to pursue your degree course without hardship and to ensure that financial worries will not affect your work in Oxford, any offer of a place at Magdalen will be conditional on your providing evidence of sufficient financial support to meet the cost of your course and of living in Oxford for the full period of your course of study. The College is required by the University to secure these financial assurances.

The following are the fees for the academic year 2012-13. Information about the University fees for 2012-13 is available at the web address below.

Postgraduate student members living within 25 miles of the College and whose course extends beyond the period of fee liability will be charged a continuation fee of £100 per term.

Food

Inexpensive meals are available in College - breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Hall, and lunch in the Old Kitchen Bar. There are also kitchen facilities throughout College accommodation. Most students eat in Hall or the Bar once or twice a day, and cook the other meal or meals for themselves. Between £9 and £10 per day for food is average. Student catering charges from October 2013 are under review.
